Medeama captain Yussif Mubarik has expressed his gratitude following the club's successful campaign, which saw them crowned champions of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.

Speaking after the team's emphatic 5-2 victory over Heart of Lions that sealed the title, Mubarik gave thanks for the achievement while reflecting on the journey.

"First of all, I will give thanks to Almighty Allah for bringing us through this competition and we are the winners of the competition. I will thank Allah for that," Mubarik said.

The captain acknowledged the difficulty of the season but pointed to the foundation laid during pre-season as the source of their belief.

"For me as a player, the season was very tough. If you look at where we started from, as the same coach told us, from Abidjan, we did a lot of work there. So coming to the season, we knew we were going to win the league. We did a lot of work there which gave us more hope of winning the cup."

The triumph marks Medeama's second league title in the club's history and secures them a place in next season's CAF Champions League. For Mubarik, the victory is the result of collective effort, strong preparation, and unwavering belief.
