Ghanaian defender Morrison Agyemang scored for the second game running in the MLS for Charlotte FC but The Crowns suffered a 4-2 defeat at Nashville on Saturday evening.

The defender, who joined the first team of Charlotte FC at the beginning of the season, made an immediate impact in the squad, earning him regular game time.

Agyemang met a cross from Ashley Westwood, diving to head home and reduce the deficit just before half time.

The visitors had conceded twice in the early minutes of the match after Hany Mukhtar and Ahmed Qasem had scored for Nashville FC before the 25th minute.

After the break, Sam Surridge extended the home sides advantage but Pep Biel responded eight minutes later to force a dramatic finale to the match.

While Charlotte pushed for an equaliser, Surridge ended any hopes of a comeback as he netted his second of the match to hand Nashville a 4-2 victory.

Compatriots Maxwell Woledzi and Abdul Shaku Mohammed were also in action for Nashville at the GEODIS Park.

Agyemang's first goal in the MLS came against Orlando City in midweek.
