The two teams locked horns in a Week 21 fixture of the 2025/26 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign today, determined to fight for all three points.
In the end-to-end contest staged at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, Medeama SC scored first after just eight minutes when exciting youngster Kingsley Braye found the back of the net.
Immediately after going behind, Nations FC stepped up their game, turning the tide and dominating until they restored parity to the game.
A powerful header from captain Razak Simpson in the 19th minute after jumping highest to meet a corner kick made the score even. Later in the 43rd minute, Simpson stepped up from 12 yards after Nations FC were awarded a penalty kick.
The captain found the bottom corner to give the host a 2-1 lead to take into the break.
After recess, Medeama SC kept knocking at the door but failed in their efforts to find a way back into the game. The defense of Nations FC stood strong, seeing out the contest and amassing all three points at full time.
The defeat is only the second suffered by Medeama SC since the start of the season, and their first in the last 18 matches.
