Red-hot forward Prince Owusu delivered a Man of the Match performance in the MLS to inspire Montreal CF to a thrilling 4-4 draw at DC United.

The German-born Ghanaian was involved in all four of Montreal's goals, scoring three and adding an assist as the Canadians left the US capital with a valuable point.

Owusu remains one of the most lethal forwards in the league, recording his seventh, eighth and ninth goals of the season on a memorable night.

The former 1860 Munich attacker is also one of the leading creators in the MLS, with six assists so far in the campaign.

The 29-year-old seems to be knocking on the Black Stars door ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America, and it looks likely new coach Carlos Queiroz will be keeping an eye on the forward before announcing his squad.

Meanwhile, in the thrilling encounter at Audi Field, the hosts raced to an early two-goal lead after Louis Munteanu and Jared Stroud netted before the 30 minute mark.

But Owusu responded just before half time by pulling one back after a strong run to win the ball off a DC United defender before slotting home.

However, after the break Tai Baribo extended the home side's advantage from the spot.

Owusu then produced a sensational finish from a left foot strike following an exquisite first touch after receiving a Wilkeman Carmona pass.

And in a dramatic end to the game, Lucas Bartlett scored to restore the DC's two-goal advantage before Owusu struck from the spot to make it 4-3.

Just before the final whistle, Owusu cleverly beat his marker in the box before serving Hennadii Synchuk with the equalizer.
