Nathaniel Adjei says he remains fully committed to FC Lorient despite growing transfer speculation linking him with clubs across Europe.

The Ghana defender insisted his priority is to finish the season strongly after making an impressive return from a long-term injury setback.

“At the moment, my full focus is on finishing the season strongly with the club. Football is unpredictable, so we’ll see what happens later, but right now I’m committed to Lorient,” Adjei said to Footy-Africa.com

“There’s always interest and rumours in football, but I try not to focus too much on that. Right now, my concentration is on my performances and helping my team.”

Adjei joined Lorient from Hammarby IF in 2024 but suffered a serious ankle injury that kept him sidelined for 364 days.

After months of rehabilitation, the centre-back returned to action this season and has gradually become an important figure in the team.

The 23-year-old has made 16 appearances since regaining fitness, with his performances also earning him a recall to the Black Stars squad for the upcoming friendly against Mexico.

Adjei remains under contract with Lorient until 2028 and is currently valued at €2.5 million according to Transfermarkt.
