Ghana's Black Stars were given a warm welcome following their arrival in Toronto for their opening game against Panama in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The West African heavyweights touched down in the Canadian city on Monday afternoon and were met by hundreds of fans, who cheered and chanted their names in a morale-boosting manner.

The players, the technical team and officials of the Black Stars left moments after interacting with the fans to their base, where they will spend the next 48 hours.

The Black Stars will hold a final training session at the BMO Field in Toronto before their crucial encounter with Panama.

Ghana will be hoping to get off to a winning start against the group's less-fancied side.

Meanwhile, in the group's other match, England will face 2018 runners-up Croatia.

The four-time African champions are yet to find out the decision on midfielder Thomas Partey's inclusion to the squad in Toronto following diplomatic talks between the two nations after the Vilarreal man was denied entry to Canada.

Partey is in Rhode Island after failing to join his teammates for the trip over the visa impasse.
