Medeama Coach Tanko vows to win against Hearts of Oak despite already securing title
· GhanaSoccernetMedeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has declared that his side will travel to Accra with the intention of securing all three points when they face Hearts of Oak in their final Ghana Premier League match of the 2025/26 season.
The Tarkwa-based champions have already wrapped up the league title, but Tanko insists his team remain fully motivated to finish the campaign strongly.
"Even when we played them here, we didn't find it easy to beat them. It was a tactical game," Tanko said in a pre-match interview on Medi TV.
"Now we have won the league, so we are going there with no pressure. We are going to play our normal game with the hope that we will get our three points."
The fixture, scheduled for Sunday, May 24, at the Accra Sports Stadium, is expected to be competitive, with Hearts of Oak also keen to end their season on a positive note in front of their home supporters.
Medeama will then round off their title celebrations with a coronation match against Basake Holy Stars on Wednesday, May 27, at the TnA Stadium in Tarkwa. Kick-off is set for 15:00 GMT.
