Germany-born attacker Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer has indicated that he will continue working hard to make the final Ghana squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The 24-year-old is in the Black Stars camp after earning a late call-up for the friendly matches against Austria and Germany.

The forward came on as a second-half substitute last Friday when Ghana suffered a 5-1 defeat in the first friendly against Austria.

Now looking forward to playing some minutes in the second friendly against Germany, Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer has disclosed that he is working hard to convince coach Otto Addo to include him in the 2026 FIFA World Cup squad.

“I do my best in the team. I try to show the coach that I'm working hard to play in the World Cup, but in the end, the coach decides, so I will continue to do my best here and at the club level. Tomorrow also presents another opportunity, and then we will see, of course, what happens.

“I want to play there (World Cup) and I think everyone in the squad wants to play there, and yeah, we will see, and hopefully everything is getting better,” Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer said.

Monday’s friendly match between Germany and Ghana is scheduled to kick off at 6:45 pm.
