Black Starlets head coach Prosper Nartey Ogum has expressed satisfaction with his team’s first training session in Morocco ahead of the 2026 U17 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Ghana team held their maiden session in Mohammedia on Thursday after arriving in the North African country earlier this week to continue preparations for the tournament.

Speaking after training, Ogum praised the attitude and commitment shown by the players and remained confident about the team’s readiness for the competition.

The coach said the session went according to plan and was encouraged by the physical condition of the squad, with all players participating fully and no injuries reported.

Ghana travelled to Morocco on Wednesday before settling in Mohammedia, where the team is currently camping ahead of the tournament.

The Black Starlets are expected to later move to Rabat, which will serve as their base during the competition.

Ogum and his technical team are using the final days before the tournament to fine-tune tactics and improve cohesion within the squad ahead of their opening match.

Black Starlets are hoping to make a strong impact at the tournament as they prepare to face Senegal, South Africa and Algeria in a difficult group.
