Barcelona B winger Abdul Aziz Issah earns Ghana call-up for Mexico friendly

Barcelona B winger Abdul Aziz Issah has earned a place in Ghana’s squad for the upcoming international friendly against Mexico following an encouraging season in Spain.

The talented youngster has scored four goals and provided one assist in 20 appearances for the Spanish side in the Segunda Federacion Group III this campaign.

Issah continues to rise steadily after completing his move to Barcelona, with his performances for the club’s reserve side attracting attention from the national team technical handlers.

The winger already has senior international experience after making his Black Stars debut in May 2025 during Ghana’s clash against Trinidad and Tobago in the Unity Cup in London.

His latest call-up forms part of coach Carlos Queiroz’s first squad since taking charge of the Black Stars, with the Portuguese trainer blending young talents with experienced names ahead of the trip to Mexico.

The friendly will offer Issah another opportunity to strengthen his place in the national team setup as Ghana continue preparations for future international assignments.
