Black Damsels handed plum draw for CAF African Schools Football Championship

Defending champions Ghana have drawn Guinea, Tanzania and Burkina Faso in Group B in the Girls’ category of the 2026 CAF African Schools Football Championship.

Last year, the Black Damsels posted a 2-0 win over Uganda on home soil to win the fourth edition of the competition.

This year’s competition will be hosted by Zimbabwe and will run from 6-10 April.

Winners of both the Boys and Girls categories will receive US$ 300 000, with runners-up receiving US$ 200,000 while third-place finishers each receive US$ 150,000.

GIRLS:

Group A: Ghana (Champions), Burkina Faso, Tanzania, Guinea

B: Zimbabwe (Hosts), Morocco, Zambia and DR Congo

BOYS:

Group A: Zimbabwe (Hosts), Uganda (Champions) Morocco and DR Congo

B: Tanzania (Champions), Zambia, Senegal and Benin
