Medeama midfielder Salim Adams earns maiden Black Stars call-up

The in-form midfielder has been rewarded for his impressive performances in the Ghana Premier League, where he has played a leading role in Medeama’s push for the title this season.
Adams has emerged as one of the standout players in the domestic top flight and recently enhanced his growing reputation with a brace in Medeama’s crucial victory over Gold Stars at the TnA Stadium.
His consistent displays had placed him firmly on the radar of new Black Stars coach Carlos Queiroz, who monitored several home-based players during recent Black Galaxies friendly matches.
Speaking recently about his chances of earning a place in the national team, Adams expressed confidence while insisting the final decision rested with the Portuguese trainer.
“Everything depends on Carlos Queiroz. I’m ready for a Black Stars call-up,” he said.
The call-up marks a major milestone in the midfielder’s career and represents recognition for his strong performances in the Ghana Premier League this season.
Adams is among several locally based players included in Queiroz’s first squad since taking charge of the Black Stars ahead of the trip to Mexico.
