I don't look at anyone – Hat-trick hero Kwadwo Antwi focused on his own path after historic promotion
· GhanaSoccernetDebibi United striker Kwadwo Antwi has credited God for his match-winning hat-trick that secured the club's first-ever promotion to the Ghana Premier League while keeping his feet on the ground about what lies ahead.
Speaking after the 3-1 comeback victory over Tamale City in the Access Bank Division One League playoff, Antwi reflected on his journey and the team's historic achievement.
"I will thank God for helping me to gain such an achievement. I'm really grateful for how far he has brought me," Antwi said.
The striker, who scored all three goals to overturn an early deficit at the Accra Sports Stadium, remained cautious about his future but confident in the team's potential.
"I don't know what is next in terms of transfers, but the current players are very compact. If the core of this team remains, I believe we will go very far in the Ghana Premier League," he added.
When asked about his coach's bold prediction that Debibi United could win the league in their debut season, Antwi responded simply, "Well, it's possible."
The hat-trick hero also made it clear that he does not measure himself against others. "So far, I am on my own. I don't look at anyone. I am still being the Kwadwo Antwi everyone knows," he stated.
Debibi United's promotion marks a historic milestone for the club, and Antwi's clinical finishing will be key to their chances of making an impact in the top flight.
For now, the striker is content to celebrate the achievement while keeping his focus firmly on his own path.
