2025/26 Ghana Premier League: Week 29 Match Report- Nations FC 2-0 Basake Holy Stars

Nations FC climbed out of the relegation zone after a convincing 2-0 victory over Basake Holy Stars at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Sunday.

Samuel Tetteh was the standout performer, scoring both goals in a dominant first-half display. The forward opened the scoring as early as the 5th minute before doubling the lead just five minutes later to put Nations firmly in control.

The hosts dictated much of the game, enjoying greater possession and creating the better chances, while Basake Holy Stars struggled to find rhythm in attack.

Nations had an opportunity to extend their lead further in the second half but missed from the penalty spot in the 64th minute. Despite that setback, they remained comfortable and saw out the game without conceding.

The result lifts Nations out of the bottom three and provides a timely boost in their fight for survival as the season enters its final stretch.

For Basake Holy Stars, the defeat halts their momentum and keeps them in mid-table, with work still to be done to secure their position.

Nations will look to build on this performance in their next outing, knowing every point will be crucial in their bid to avoid relegation.
