Ghana star Antoine Semenyo targets more trophies with Manchester City after FA Cup progress
· GhanaSoccernetGhana international Antoine Semenyo has set his sights on winning more silverware with Manchester City following their dominant FA Cup victory over Liverpool.
City’s emphatic 4-0 win secured their place in the semi-finals, adding to their League Cup triumph earlier in the season and keeping alive hopes of further domestic success.
Semenyo has made an immediate impact since joining from Bournemouth during the winter transfer window. The forward arrived with 10 goals and three assists and has continued his fine form at City, contributing eight goals and three assists so far.
The Ghanaian forward said his ambition to compete for major honours played a key role in his decision to join the club.
“That’s why I signed for Man City, I want to be competing for all trophies,” he said.
“It’s unfortunate we’re not in the Champions League, but we still have the Premier League and the FA Cup to fight for.”
Under manager Pep Guardiola, Manchester City remain one of the strongest sides domestically, with Semenyo expected to play an important role as they push to add to their trophy haul before the end of the season.
