Ghana star Antoine Semenyo nominated for Premier League Player of the Season award

Ghana international Antoine Semenyo has been nominated for the 2025/26 Premier League Player of the Season award after an outstanding campaign that has seen him shine for both AFC Bournemouth and Manchester City.

The versatile forward earned recognition following a remarkable season where he has registered 16 goals and four assists in 35 Premier League appearances.

Semenyo’s performances played a key role in City’s push for the title after his January transfer from Bournemouth.

The 25-year-old enjoyed a sensational first half of the season with Bournemouth, establishing himself as one of the most dangerous attacking players in the league before securing a high-profile move to the Etihad Stadium during the winter transfer window.

Semenyo adapted quickly to life under Pep Guardiola and made an instant impact at City.

He scored three goals and provided one assist in just five Premier League matches in February, earning his maiden EA SPORTS Player of the Month award.

Semenyo is shortlisted alongside Bruno Fernandes, Gabriel, Morgan Gibbs-White, Erling Haaland, David Raya, Declan Rice and Igor Thiago for the prestigious award.
