Belgium hammer Tunisia 5-0 in friendly ahead of World Cup 2026

Belgium sent a bold message ahead of the 2026 World Cup, thrashing Tunisia 5–0 in a friendly at Stade Roi Baudouin.

Leandro Trossard opened the scoring in the 28th minute, tapping into an empty net after Jeremy Doku's brilliant cross.

Charles De Ketelaere doubled the lead early in the second half, heading home from Youri Tielemans' curling cross in the 53rd minute. Kevin De Bruyne made it 3–0 in the 65th with a powerful low shot into the bottom-left corner, wrong-footing keeper Chamakh. Tunisia's woes worsened when Ismael Gharbi was sent off for a second yellow in the 62nd minute.

Substitutes Dodi Lukebakio in the 85th minute and Nicolas Raskin in the 87th minute added the fourth and fifth, with Napoli striker Lukaku assisting Lukebakio's acrobatic finish.

Belgium had 66% ball possession while Tunisia had 34. Belgium had 27 total shots with 12 on target, while Tunisia had 7 with only one on target in the game.

Tunisia will start their World Cup campaign on June 15 against Sweden in Group F alongside Sweden, Japan, and the Netherlands.
