Former Ghana midfielder and current Black Princesses head coach Charles Sampson has expressed pride in the football journey of his daughter, Sharon Sampson, praising her courage, discipline, and commitment to the game.

Sharon, who featured for Ghana at youth level during the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica, has since carved her own path in professional football, balancing education and sport across different continents.

Reflecting on her progress, Charles Sampson highlighted the sacrifices she has made in pursuit of her career.

“I’m grateful for her journey now, she has been very brave. She was part of the Black Princesses team for the World Cup tournament in Costa Rica. After playing for the Princesses, she decided to devote her time to football and signed for PAOK,” he said.

He explained that her decision to pursue professional football required major adjustments, including shifting her academic plans.

“She was forced to take her studies from the States and do it online. She played in Greece for two years and decided to go back to Sweden,” he added.

Now continuing her career in Sweden, Sharon remains focused on growth and consistency, with her father confident that her story is still unfolding.

“I believe her journey will speak for itself,” he concluded.
