It has to be a team effort – Kotoko Interim coach Hamza Obeng
· GhanaSoccernetAsante Kotoko interim head coach Hamza Obeng has stressed that collective effort will be the key to turning the club's season around as he looks to make an impact in the final weeks of the Ghana Premier League campaign.
Speaking ahead of Sunday's clash against Dreams FC, the young tactician acknowledged the weight of the opportunity but made it clear that no individual can succeed alone.
"It's a big platform, and I have to execute my role with the boys and also showcase my ability. People have different opinions, but at this moment, we all need to come together," Obeng told AKSC Media.
He added, "Together with my technical team, we are planning because if we want to win, it has to be a team effort."
Obeng's comments come as Kotoko prepare for a challenging away fixture at the Tuba AstroTurf, with kickoff set for 3:00 PM. The Porcupine Warriors have managed just one win in their last five matches and sit outside the top four.
For the interim boss, the message is simple: unity and shared responsibility are the only paths to success. Individual brilliance, he suggested, is not enough. The team must rise together.
