We’re taking criticism in good faith – Asante Kotoko coach Karim Zito

· GhanaSoccernet

Asante Kotoko coach Abdul Karim Zito says he accepts all criticism directed at him and his squad, insisting they understand the expectations that come with representing the club.

Kotoko remain unbeaten in the 2025:2026 Ghana Premier League season, yet recent performances have sparked frustration among supporters.

The team enters Wednesday’s trip to Basake Holy Stars with three draws and one win from its last four matches, a run many fans feel should have yielded more points.

The Porcupine Warriors sit fourth on the table with 20 points, three behind leaders Aduana FC.

The narrow gap has heightened concerns among fans who believe Kotoko have missed several chances to move top.

Zito, however, maintains that pressure is part of the job and must be handled with composure.

“Everybody wants to beat Kotoko, it’s a fact. When you are in Kotoko, you have to be prepared for everything, every situation,” he said.

“So many criticisms, some for, some against, but I have to stand…and take it in good faith because this is Asante Kotoko.”

Kotoko drew 0-0 with Samartex in their previous match and aim to return to winning ways in Anyinase.
