2026-27 Division One League set to kick off September 18

The 2026/27 Access Bank Division One League will kick off on Friday September 18, 2026, the Ghana Football Association announced on Wednesday.

The new campaign will commence over the weekend of September 18–21, 2026, with opening fixtures scheduled across all three zones. The season is set to run until May 24, 2027, spanning a total of 30 match weekends.

In line with the league’s structure, matches will be played exclusively on weekends, with no provision for official midweek fixtures. This format is intended to ensure consistency, adequate recovery time for players, and smooth coordination throughout the season.

The Division One League continues to serve as a vital pathway for clubs aspiring to reach the top tier of Ghanaian football. With promotion places up for grabs, teams will be locked in intense competition as they aim to secure qualification to the Ghana Premier League.
