24 players train as Black Stars step up preparations for Wales friendly

Twenty-four players took part in training at Dragon Park on Saturday as the Black Stars continued preparations for Tuesday's international friendly against Wales and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The squad was boosted by the arrival of Thomas Partey and Inaki Williams, who joined the team in Cardiff on Saturday morning before immediately taking part in training.

Coach Carlos Queiroz oversaw the session as preparations gathered pace ahead of Ghana's final friendly before the World Cup.

The players involved in Saturday's training were Elisha Owusu, Kwasi Sibo, Caleb Yirenkyi, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Kamal Deen Sulemana, Benjamin Asare, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Joseph Anang, Solomon Agbasi, Paul Reverson, Baba Rahman, Gideon Mensah, Marvin Senaya, Alidu Seidu, Abdul Mumin, Jerome Opoku, Jonas Adjetey, Christopher Bonsu Baah, Ernest Nuamah, Brandon Thomas-Asante, Prince Kwabena Adu, Jordan Ayew, Thomas Partey and Inaki Williams.

The Black Stars will face Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday, June 2, with kick-off scheduled for 6:45 pm.

The match forms part of Ghana's preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where they have been drawn in Group L alongside Panama, England and Croatia.
