Kwadwo Antwi over the moon after scoring a hat-trick to secure promotion for Debibi United

Debibi United striker Kwadwo Antwi has expressed his delight after scoring a stunning hat-trick to secure the team’s promotion ticket to the Ghana Premier League.

The attacker started for his team on Wednesday when they locked horns with Tamale City in the Access Bank Division One Zone One playoff.

In a game played at the Accra Sports Stadium, Tamale City took the lead, but a hat-trick from Kwadwo Antwi secured a 3-1 comeback win for Debibi United, ensuring they qualified for the Ghana Premier League for the first time in their history.

Speaking in a post-match interview, Antwi shared his delight and extended appreciation to God and the supporters of the team.

“We thank God for this victory. To score three goals and to lead Debibi United to the Ghana Premier League, I’m very happy. We thank the fans so much. They have supported us since the start of the season, and that is why we have been able to qualify for the Premier League,” Kwadwo Antwi said.

Antwi and his teammates are expected to party deep into the night after their historic qualification to the Ghana Premier League.
