The Olympique Lyonnais attacker is continuing his recovery from an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury sustained in April 2025 during a Ligue 1 encounter against Lille. Nuamah has made encouraging progress in recent weeks and has begun gym-based training, with a return to on-field action expected in the near future.
Addo spent time with the highly rated winger, discussing Ghana’s World Cup project and offering encouragement as he works his way back to full fitness. The gaffer is maintaining close contact with key players, particularly those returning from injury, as preparations intensify for the global showpiece.
Despite his setback, Nuamah has already played a meaningful role in Ghana’s qualifying journey for the 2026 World Cup, featuring in five matches and scoring twice.
