Nations FC beat Berekum Chelsea on penalties to reach FA Cup semi-finals

Nations FC have progressed to the semi-finals of the MTN FA Cup after defeating Berekum Chelsea 4-3 on penalties on Sunday. 

The quarter-final clash at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park in Bechem ended goalless after regulation time and extra time, with both teams unable to break the deadlock despite several chances.

With the match still level after 120 minutes, the tie was decided through a penalty shootout. Nations FC kept their composure from the spot to secure a 4-3 victory and book their place in the last four of the competition.

The Abrankese-based side will now face Aduana FC in the semi-finals as they continue their quest for FA Cup glory.

Nations FC’s victory keeps their hopes of winning the prestigious domestic cup alive after a hard-fought contest against fellow Premier League side Berekum Chelsea.
