Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz has stressed that focus and discipline will be key for his side at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

With just 40 days remaining before Ghana’s next major international assignment, the Portuguese tactician has delivered a passionate message to both his squad and supporters, highlighting the level of commitment needed to compete on the world stage.

In a statement released by the Ghana Football Association, Queiroz underlined the importance of sacrifice, concentration, and unity as the Black Stars prepare for the tournament.

“40 days to honour the pride, passion, and dreams of Ghana. Absolute focus. Maximum discipline. Total sacrifice. No distractions. No excuses. Only commitment to excellence,” Queiroz said.

Ghana has been housed in Group L at the 2026 FIFA World Cup and will face Panama in their opening match on June 17 before taking on England and Croatia in the subsequent group matches.

Before the tournament, Carlos Queiroz will have the chance to play two friendly matches against Mexico and Wales.
