Representing the Black Stars was a proud moment – Albert Adomah
· GhanaSoccernetFormer Ghana winger Albert Adomah has described his time with the Black Stars as a source of immense pride, particularly the moment he pulled on the national team shirt.
In an interview on 3Sports, Adomah recalled the joy of representing his country, emphasising that no feeling quite compares to wearing the Ghana jersey.
"It was a proud moment; you know, representing the national team is always a proud moment," he said.
Adomah also touched on wearing the iconic number 10 jersey at the Africa Cup of Nations, stepping in for the injured Andre Ayew. While he took the famous number in stride, the honour of representing Ghana remained the overriding emotion.
Though his tournament ended with an unexpected place on the bench for the quarter-final, the former Bristol City and Middlesbrough winger insists his call-up was earned through merit and consistent club performances.
"I played more games than anyone in the national team," he noted.
For Adomah, the memories of wearing the Black Stars shirt, whether in group stage battles or simply standing for the national anthem, remain deeply cherished. "It was a proud moment," he repeated, and for good reason.
