It’s great Bechem United have escaped relegation; we are excited – Kobina Amissah
· GhanaSoccernetKobina Amissah has expressed his joy after Bechem United FC successfully avoided relegation ahead of the final round of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
The Hunters confirmed their safety last weekend following an impressive 3-1 victory over Asante Kotoko SC in their penultimate match of the campaign.
Bechem United now sit on 47 points, six points above the relegation zone, meaning they cannot be relegated regardless of the outcome of their final fixture.
The result brought relief to the club after spending part of the season battling to stay in the top flight.
Speaking in a pre-match interview ahead of the team’s final league game against Berekum Chelsea FC, Bechem United coach Kobina Amissah praised the players, management and board for helping the club secure survival.
“I’m very very happy that at long last we are not a threatened team again in terms of relegation. I’m very happy that the boys have done well and we have escaped relegation. Relegation is a problem for every team, but we have escaped. I’m very grateful to the management, the board and the playing body. It’s great that we have escaped relegation,” Amissah told Bechem United TV.
Bechem United will conclude their season with an away clash against Berekum Chelsea FC at the Golden City Park.
The Week 34 encounter is scheduled to kick off at 3 pm on Sunday.
