Midfielder Emmanuel Agyei earns maiden Black Stars call-up for Mexico friendly

Dundee United midfielder Emmanuel Agyei has received his first senior national team invitation after being named in Ghana’s squad for the upcoming international friendly against Mexico later this month.

The former Ghana U-20 defensive midfielder has been rewarded for his impressive performances in the Scottish Premiership since joining Dundee in the January transfer window.

Agyei’s consistent displays, composure in midfield, and growing influence have not gone unnoticed, earning him a place in the 23-man squad assembled by the Ghana Football Association.

The 21-year-old has made 10 appearances for Dundee United so far, contributing one goal and one assist.

His standout moment came against Celtic FC, where he netted a stunning long-range strike that won him his club’s Goal of the Month award, alongside the Player of the Month accolade.
