The Global Gaming League has launched its own competition series and is accepting players for the DRFT SZN draft. This new system will have players competing against each other in multiple video game titles, looking more for a jack of all trades rather than a master of a single title. Ultimately, giving them a chance to show off their skills and push to make it into the pro leagues. W ehave the finer details of what you can expect to see and how to take part in it below.

Global Gaming League Launches The DRFT SZN

Running through January 29, 2027, the DRFT SZN gives gamers of all skill levels the opportunity to climb the league's competitive ranks, enter its inaugural draft pool, and compete for a spot on a celebrity-owned major league team. Players can register at GGLPrimes.com and compete in daily tournaments across multiple game titles. Through tournament participation and performance, players earn skill rankings that determine their progression from the PRIME League to the Minor League, with the top 100 players advancing to the draft pool.

Following DRFT SZN, Global Gaming League will host a live, in-person draft modeled on the milestone moments that turn college prospects into household names in traditional sports. Global Gaming League and its celebrity team owners will select players from the draft pool to join their teams as paid professional players competing in GGL's 2027 SZN ONE. The draft's date and location will be announced separately. For aspiring players, the opportunity extends beyond winning a tournament: it is a chance to earn a place in a league where gaming, sports, music, and entertainment come together.

"All around the world, there are incredible gamers who have never had the connections, visibility, or opportunity to show what they can do," said Clinton Sparks, founder and CEO of the Global Gaming League. "DRFT SZN gives that person a place to start and a path to pursue. We believe gamers are athletes and gaming is a sport. You can sign up from home, earn your way through the ranks, and put yourself in position to hear your name called by a celebrity team owner. We want to give people a reason to believe their talent and passion can take them somewhere, just like any other sport, and a platform to prove it."

Progress System

• Enter: Register at GGLPrimes.com and participate in daily tournaments across multiple titles.

The more players compete, the more opportunities they have to improve their standing. Advancement is determined by skill rankings, with performance and tournament wins driving progression. Global Gaming League will also be seeking out good gamers who have entertaining personalities. A top 100 finish earns draft eligibility; team selection determines who advances to the major leagues.

Fans Can Follow the Journey Before Draft Day

Through Global Gaming League PRIMES' global leaderboard, which updates in real time, fans can follow emerging contenders, track their progress, and rally behind their favorite players throughout the season. GGL will also spotlight competitors through player profiles, personal stories, and content documenting the road to the draft. That coverage will give audiences a chance to connect with the people behind the player names, and give competitors opportunities to build recognition before they ever step onto a major league stage. By bringing the competition and its personalities into the spotlight, GGL is making the journey to becoming a professional part of the entertainment itself.
