Samara Weaving Joins Jennifer Aniston in Olivia Wilde’s Holiday Comedy NAUGHTY

Samara Weavingis heading to the North Pole for some holiday chaos! The Ready or Not star has joined Universal Pictures’ upcoming Christmas comedy Naughty, which already has a pretty awesome cast led by Jennifer Aniston and Peter Dinklage, with Olivia Wilde directing.

The film follows a mother (Aniston) who is desperate to win custody of her son from her manipulative, trash-bag ex-husband, played by Ike Barinholtz. Her plan to turn things around involves tracking down Santa Claus himself (Dinklage) and convincing him to testify at her divorce hearing.

Yeah, Santa is getting dragged into a custody battle, and the movie has been described by sources as “Bridesmaids in the North Pole.”

Weaving is set to play Barinholtz’s mistress, which should make the already ridiculous family drama even more entertaining. Chase Sui Wonders and Regina Hall are also part of the cast, playing Aniston’s best friends.

The movie was written by Jimmy Warden, with Wilde taking the director’s chair following her relationship comedy The Invite, which A24 released over the summer.

The project is being produced by LuckyChap, the production company run by Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley, Josey McNamara, and Milan Popelka. Wilde and Warden are also producing.

Weaving has been keeping busy lately, with three films released this year, including Over Your Dead Body, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, and Carolina Caroline. She was also cast as Emma Frost, aka the White Queen, in Marvel’s upcoming X-Men movie, which is expected to begin filming next spring or summer.

Universal Pictures has scheduled Naughty to hit theaters on November 5, 2027, just in time to kick off the holiday movie season.
