Police present N11.4m to families of deceased officers in Kebbi
by Mikal Attah · Daily PostThe Kebbi State Police Command has presented cheques totalling N11.4 million to 18 beneficiaries and next-of-kin of deceased police officers under the Group Life Assurance, GLA, and Group Personal Accident, GPA, insurance schemes.
The cheques were presented on Wednesday, September 17, 2026, by the Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, Umar Hadejia, on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu.
The development was contained in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, Bashir Usman, for the Commissioner of Police.
The command said the payment was part of the Nigeria Police’ commitment to the welfare of families of deceased personnel.

Hadejia said the service and contributions of the deceased officers to the nation remained appreciated and would not be forgotten, adding that the insurance benefits would provide support to their families.
The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police, the Force Management Team and the Commissioner of Police for the gesture.
