WAFCON 2026: Super Falcons motivated to retain title – Demehin 

Oluwatosin Demehin has said the Super Falcons are motivated to retain their title at the 2026 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations, DAILY POST reports.

The West Africans will be gunning for a record-extending title at the WAFCON 2026 finals Morocco.

The battle for the ultimate prize is expected to be more fierce this time around with the participating teams now increased from 12 to 16.

The competition will also serve as the qualifying tournament for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Demehin said the Super Falcons will do their best to maintain their dominance on the continent.

“It will be tough, as more teams are getting stronger in Africa. We are motivated to succeed, but we must be consistent, compact at the rear, fluid in midfield and clinical in attack,” the Galatasaray defender told thenff.com.
