Two American merchant vessels passed through Strait of Hormuz – US military

by · Daily Post

The United States military says two of its merchant vessels have successfully transited through the Strait of Hormuz.

US Central Command, CENTCOM, made this known in a post via X on Monday.

“American forces are actively assisting efforts to restore transit for commercial shipping,” CENTCOM said.

This comes a day after President Donald Trump vowed to guide vessels through the waterway, where Iran is attempting to control shipping.

Meanwhile, CENTCOM has not provided the names of the vessels which it says have successfully sailed through the strait.

DAILY POST recalls that Iran had issued a stern warning that it would attack any United States forces seen at the Strait of Hormuz.
