Bandits abduct six in early morning raid on Sokoto village

A source told DAILY POST that the attackers invaded the village at about 1:00 am on Monday and initially abducted a total of 13 persons, including 12 women and one man, after storming several homes.
He explained that the attackers later stopped at Dan Adama Forest and asked those abducted to identify themselves, saying that they released one person for every two individuals from the same household.
He further explained, “In the end, the assailants took six persons to their hideout, while seven others were freed.”
He gave the names of those abducted as Asabe Zakariya, Inno Ibrahim, Inno Musa, Umma Yusuf, Safina Abdullahi, and Saminu Jijji.
The source further revealed that the bandits threatened to continue launching daily attacks on the village unless residents sought amnesty from them.
The chairman of Isa LGA, Sharehu Abubakar Kamarawa, could not be reached by phone as his lines were unreachable.
Similarly, the Sokoto State Police Command spokesman, DSP Ahmad Rufai, did not respond to calls to his phone.
