WAFCON 2026: Super Falcons ready to defend title – Madugu 

Super Falcons head coach Justine Madugu has said his team must be ready for a big fight at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, DAILY POST reports.

The Super Falcons will be targeting a record extending 1th title at the tournament which started in Morocco on Sunday.

Madugu’s side will face the Scorchers of Malawi in their opening fixture at the Al Madina Stadium, Rabat on Tuesday.

The experienced tactician is aware other countries will be desperate to wrestle the title from his team.

He declared that his players will give their best to win the trophy again.

.“Now that we are champions, every other team will want to draw you down,” Madugu told BBC Sport.

“It’s not going to be easy. We are quite aware of that and we are going to be fully ready.”
