Windstorm damages parts of Kugbo Bus Terminal
by Seun Opejobi · Daily PostA strong windstorm, on Tuesday, damaged some parts of the Kubo Bus Terminal in the Nyanya area of Abuja.
This was disclosed by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike’s spokesman, Lere Olayinka via a statement after the incident.
Olayinka disclosed that Wike ordered security agencies to keep things under control and ensure traffic moves smoothly in the area that was affected.
The minister also ordered quick repairs to fix the damage from the storm.
“A strong windstorm happened a few hours ago along with heavy rain, and it caused some small damage to the Nyanya pedestrian bridge and a few buildings nearby.
“From the early reports, there were no injuries, and no cars were damaged. To stop any disruption in the law and order and to ensure traffic moves smoothly, the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has ordered security personnel to be sent to the area.
“He also said that steps will be taken right away to repair the damage caused by the strong winds,” the statement said.
