Transfer: Alvarez expected at Atletico training as Arsenal await final decision

by · Daily Post

Atlético Madrid expect Julián Álvarez to show up for training on Sunday after missing the 3-1 win over Sevilla.

Álvarez trained alone at the club’s facilities on Saturday.

However, the Argentina striker is set to rejoin the rest of the squad.

Atlético sporting director, Mateu Alemany, told Movistar: “We’ve been clear. The Board of Directors has said it, Miguel Ángel Gil Marín has said it. I refer you to that; why would I say more?

It is understood that Atlético have given Álvarez a Sunday deadline to decide whether he wants to stay with the LaLiga side or join Arsenal.
