‘Prison worse than being broke’ – Reactions trail video of DJ Chicken in Kirikiri

A video showing controversial content creator and disc jockey, DJ Chicken, at the Kirikiri prison has sparked reactions from Nigerians.

DAILY POST reports that the entertainer was remanded in Kirikiri prison after he allegedly made threatening remarks against President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi.

The video clip which was recorded during a visit by some of his associates on Monday, showed DJ Chicken very quiet, calm and weak unlike his usual energetic and outspoken personality.

Sharing on TikTok, one of his associates @ayomido27 captioned the video, “Very humble. See as my baby humble.”

Reacting to the video which has gone viral on X, many users described humility as the first language in prison.

@MyraBryt wrote, “Survival instinct kicks in immediately. Once wahala show face, humility becomes the first language.”

Habeeb Twolly Messi said, “Whatever you are doing, make sure you don’t enter prison. It’s worst that being broke.”

Faseyitan Olajide Oluwaseyi observed, “At this junction he doesn’t have any choice.

Next time he will not be jam talk anyhow, atleast they will reset his brain small he really needs it.”
