President Bola Tinubu has won the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential primary in 484 wards across the 44 Local Government Areas of Kano State.

DAILY POST reports that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, who served as the state’s collation officer, declared the result at the Kano State Government House.

Yusuf announced that Tinubu polled 500,852 votes, defeating his rival, Stanley Osifo, who scored 2,675 votes.

He said President Tinubu would be the party’s flag bearer in the forthcoming general elections.

Governor Yusuf expressed optimism that the party would emerge victorious in the 2027 elections “from top to bottom,” adding that the ruling APC “has come to stay.

“I served as the state collation officer. Tinubu scored 500,852 votes, while Stanley Osifo scored 2,675.

“In my capacity as the state collation officer, I declare President Bola Tinubu the winner of this election,” Yusuf stated.

Abubakar Kabir, member representing Bichi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, described the process as transparent, free, and fair.

He said that with the level of intervention brought to the state by President Bola Tinubu, “Kano is a done deal.”

The exercise was attended by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, heads of security agencies, and party stakeholders, among others.
