Transfer deadline: Midfielders leave Real Madrid, Barcelona for new clubs

Real Madrid midfielder, Manuel Ángel and Barcelona defensive midfielder, Marc Casadó have left to join other clubs on transfer deadline day.

Real Madrid announced in a statement on Tuesday that Ángel has left the Santiago Bernabéu to join Premier League club Fulham on a permanent transfer.

Ángel joined Real Madrid in 2018 when he was 14 years old and made his first-team debut this year.

“Real Madrid wishes him and his family all the best in this new chapter of his life,” the club’s statement partly read.

Similarly, Barcelona announced that Marc Casadó has joined Deportivo La Coruña on a season-long loan.

Casadó scored one goal and provided seven assists in 75 appearances for Barcelona.

The 22-year-old won two LaLiga titles, one Copa del Rey and two Spanish Super Cups with the Blaugrana.
