by · Daily Post

Christantus Uche has undergone a successful surgery after sustaining a knee injury during a pre-season game, DAILY POST reports.

The Getafe star sustained the injury during the Azulones’ friendly against AS Monaco on August 6.

The Nigeria international underwent surgery in Lyon, France, on Wednesday, according to Getafe’s official website.

Uche will now begin rehabilitation as he works towards returning to full fitness.

The injury is expected to keep Uche out of action for the entirety of the 2026/27 campaign.

The 23-year-old midfielder spent the previous season on loan with Premier League club Crystal Palace.
