Super Falcons: Ohale announces retirement from international football

Super Falcons defender, Osinachi Ohale has announced her retirement from international football, DAILY POST reports.

Ohale’s decision marks the end of her 16-year active service with the 10-time African champions.

The experienced centre-back made 86 appearances for the Super Falcons, winning the WAFCON title four times.

The 34-year-old also featured in four FIFA Women’s World Cup tournaments during her remarkable stint with the national team.

Ohale announced her retirement on social media.

“After 16 years of wearing the Nigerian jersey, representing my country, and giving everything I had to the beautiful game, I have made the very difficult decision to retire from international football,” Ohale wrote on Instagram.

The defender will now concentrate on her club career after leaving the international scene.
