2027: Wike meets Asari Dokubo as election draws near
by Ochogwu Sunday · Daily PostMinister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, on Monday received former Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo, at his residence in Port Harcourt.
The All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate in Rivers State, Kinsley Chinda, alongside other political associates of the minister, was also in attendance.
Although details of the meeting could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report, it was believed to be connected to the forthcoming general elections.
Dokubo, a former Niger Delta militant and prominent political figure among the Ijaw, has been participating in activities leading up to the election.

The minister, on the other hand, has been touring local government areas of Rivers State while campaigning for President Bola Tinubu.
The former governor of Rivers State has also met with several other political and traditional leaders in the region in recent times.
