Five confirmed dead in shooting in German city of Stade, as two people are arrested

FIVE PEOPLE HAVE been killed in a shooting in the northern German city of Stade. 

According to local police, two people have been arrested. However, a motive is yet unclear. 

It is believed that the shooting took place in a youth centre in the city and a major police operation is currently underway in Central Stade.

Police have confirmed that there is no further danger for public after the shootings. 

The city has a population of around 50,000 people and is located 50km West of Hamburg.
