Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gets New Game+ for its sixth anniversary
by Stefan L · tsaAs part of Ubisoft’s Fall 2026 check in on the Assassin’s Creed franchise, the company has announced a surprise update for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. With the game able to celebrate over 40 million players ahead of its sixth anniversary, Ubisoft is adding New Game+ in another surprise update for the turn of the generation hit.
The ‘The Most Requested Update’ update will arrive on 5th November, bringing New Game+ which allows you to start over while retaining most progression and with dedicated power scaling, and a few other new features which include:
- An optional progression mode where Gear, Runes, and Masteries all contribute to Eivor’s overall Power
- New runes, achievements, a stash system, and new rewards, including a Master Assassin outfit inspired by Naoe’s look in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
- Mithril, a new resource to upgrade Divine Gear and strengthen runes
- Divine Gear quality for all items
Full patch notes will be released in the next few days.
If this is well received, there’s the possibility that Ubisoft could bring similar updates to other beloved AC titles.
Elsewhere, Ubisoft confirmed a New Game+ mode for AC Black Flag Resynced, in what will be that game’s final content update, while also stating that there are currently no other remakes in the works.
The focus of Assassin’s Creed right now is for the PvP multiplayer game Codename Invictus, and for the witchy Codename Hexe, which is to be the next mainline game. Fresh details and reveals on those will be coming in 2027.
