Rylan Clark addresses 'real voice' and confirms relationship status amid Rob Rinder 'romance' comments

by · Manchester Evening News

Rylan Clark has addressed his changing voice and also confirmed his relationship status as he answered fans' big questions. The TV and radio star was inundated with responses to his Instagram post in which he asked his loyal followers to 'ask him anything'.

He's since trawled through the questions for a mammoth Q&A session that formed his latest YouTube video. And one of the main questions Rylan received was from fans asking him what his "real voice" is.

In a clip filmed at home in his kitchen wearing loungewear, Rylan explained in a deeper voice than people are used to hearing after a recent social media video confused fans.

"When I'm at home, I speak a little bit lower, so sometimes when I do a video when I'm at home, and I'm wearing a tracksuit then it's like my normal voice."

It didn't take long for the questions to turn to his love life and he was asked if he had a partner. The 35-year-old replied: "No I don't, I'm very single. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't mind one. I'm pretty content on my own, I'm quite a busy boy. I know I keep moaning that I’m single, but it’s actually quite nice to do what I want, when I want where I want, with who I want."

It came after he was also asked: "Do you ever feel lonely?" to which he admitted: "Yeah, sometimes, which is really really weird. Because obviously I've got all you lot who I can message but sometimes you do. I think that's alright though because if you do feel a bit lonely you can just ring someone or go and see your mates."

As ever though, Rob Rinder soon appeared in conversation. The pair had become firm pals over the years before fans got to see the dynamics of their friendship in their first TV show together earlier this year.

Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour aired earlier this year on BBC2 and saw the pair take viewers along to some of Italy's greatest art treasures in destinations such as Venice, Florence and Rome as they followed in the footsteps of 19th-century romantic poet Lord Byron and other Grand Tourists.

But while filming, Rob even sparked engagement rumours with Rylan following a cheeky social media post that left the latter having to explain they weren't a couple in the weeks and months to follow.

"I can't get rid of him, people thought we were dating," Rylan admitted in his new YouTube video. "People thought we were together, and there's nothing wrong with that thought but we're not. We're just friends. We're like a married couple – we row all the time and don't have sex. He's very much part of my life, I speak to him most days."
