BBC Strictly Come Dancing's four finalists 'named' after shock permanent exit

Strictly Come Dancing fans think they have 'worked out' who will make the final after the latest permanent exit from the competition caused a shock.

It was Jamie Borthwick who became the ninth celebrity to leave the BBC One dance contest during the latest result's show on Sunday night (November 23). The EastEnders star left the show alongside professional dancer Michelle Tsiakkas. after they made it through to week ten of the series.

They landed in the dreaded dance-off against Olympian Montell Douglas and her partner Johannes Radebe, who also had to fight for their place in Strictly's 20th-anniversary series last weekend.

EastEnders star Jamie and Michelle reprised their graceful foxtrot to Stand By Me by Ben E King, which landed them a score of 32 from the judges during Saturday's (November 23) live show. Judge Anton Du Beke told the actor that he is a "beautiful dancer" but advised him to be more "ridiculous" and "over the top" following his first performance.

Meanwhile, Montell and Johannes performed their quickstep to Get Happy by Ella Fitzgerald again in a bid to impress the judges. They had received a score of 37 for the routine during the latest live show, with Anton saying it was their best performance since their couple’s choice.

After both couples had danced a second time, the judges unanimously agreed to save Montell and Johannes, sending them through to the quarter final, while Jamie and Michelle were sent home just a few weeks before Strictly's 2024 final.

And after describing the results as a 'shock', Strictly viewers think they have figured out who will be in the final and in contention to lift the Glitterball trophy this year. @fifi_1992 said: "I 100% would not be surprised now if the 4 in the final wasn’t SARAH, CHRIS, PETE and TASHA. I would argue maybe swap PETE with JB but that depends on the forthcoming weeks. But the other 3, 100% locked in."

@FanBradfor92642 commented: "Now there are only 6 celebrities left in the competition I think Pete now has the least popularity of all the contestants left, that is my opinion you can agree or not with this, I think the finalists will be Chris Sarah Tasha and JB." @OtterFan242 added: "Gutted for Jamie! I felt Montell should have gone instead her dancing just isn’t that convincing unfortunately. Deffo Pete and Montell out next, Sarah, JB, Chris and Tasha in the final."
