- An alleged associate of Manchester synagogue attacker Jihad Al-Shamie is accused of driving him to the UK's Defence Academy to conduct earlier 'hostile reconnaissance', a court has heard. Mohammad Bashir, 31, of Shaftsbury Road, Cheetham Hill, is charged with four terrorism offences, Westminster Magistrates' Court was told on Friday as he made his first court appearance. - Passengers on an easyJet flight to Krakow were flown straight back to Manchester Airport as thick fog blanketed the Polish city. Several airlines were unable to land in Krakow on Thursday evening (December 4) due to adverse weather conditions. Read in full here.

- A large emergency services response descended on a busy south Manchester junction following a crash. A collision took place at the junction of Hollyhedge Road and Brownley Road, in Wythenshawe, this morning (December 5). Part of the road was blocked off while crews work at the scene. - Traffic was stopped twice on part of the M60 with queues building up this morning. Vehicles were briefly held after a break down on the anticlockwise carriageway at junction 16, for Pendlebury, earlier this morning (December 5). Two lanes of traffic were reopened before the broken down vehicle was removed. Traffic was later stopped for a second time, just past junction 17 at Prestwich and Whitefield. Read in full here.
