Man United wonderkid sends Viktor Gyokeres message amid transfer links and Man City hat-trick
by Jack Flintham · Manchester Evening NewsManchester United wonderkid Ethan Wheatley mimicked Viktor Gyokere's goal celebration as the U19s progressed to the third round of the UEFA Youth League on Wednesday.
Heading into the match with Lithuania's FK Zalgiris with a 5-2 aggregate lead, Adam Lawrence's side blew their opponents out of the water on home soil winning 6-0 on the night to advance 11-2. Among the goalscorers on a brilliant night for the young Reds was Wheatley who scored a neat finish at the near post.
Celebrating the strike the 18-year-old, who has made four appearances for the first team, three of which were in the Premier League, pulled out the hands over his mouth celebration which has become a calling card for Gyokeres. The Swedish striker has been in tremendous form for Sporting since arriving from Coventry City and added another hat-trick to his name on Tuesday night.

His goals secured a 4-1 victory for the Portuguese giants against Manchester City in the Champions League. It also served to increase speculation as to whether Gyokeres will eventually join his current head coach Ruben Amorim in Manchester.
Amorim's era at Old Trafford is set to begin next Monday and with United struggling for goals so far this season, there have been rumours that Gyokeres could be a long-term target for the club. The incoming Reds boss refused to humour suggestions this week that he would look to sign the Swede when he leaves Lisbon and has also stressed he will not try to sign any of his current Sporting squad in the upcoming January transfer window.
United's U19s will face AZ Alkmaar in the next round of the UEFA Youth League.
